Conference Reflection

My conference with Mat last week I think went extremely well! I went into the conference not really knowing what was going to happen. I was not a big fan of my essay from I first gave it to Mat, so I was kind of nervous going into our conference. However, Mat was super funny and extremely helpful! He helped me come up with an outline of what I should do and change in my essay. This outline became a very useful basis of how I should format my essay. He asked me a variety of questions to help formulate the outline. Then, we were able to get the funny and good details about my high school event story for the essay. He truly helped me understand the bigger part of the essay, and to formulate a better concept of my writing for project one. I was able to walk away with a lot of insightful tips! I truly thought I was going nowhere with my essay, but after talking to Mat, he made me realize that I can easily change my shitty first draft into a well-written project one! After the meeting, I felt a lot more confident about my writing and was able to start formulating the essay with this good outline that Mat helped me create for this project!
